Gait Analysis:

Gait Analysis is the evaluation of an individual’s particular way of walking. Gait analysis can be performed though personal observation of the patient during gait, and in some cases, is done with an apparatus that measures the patients contact pattern while walking and requires a special recording device. Gait analysis is necessary in certain conditions where a patient has difficulty with muscle weakness, deformity, or alignment of their legs or feet while walking. Many conditions can be analyzed simply through direct observation of the patient walking barefoot, right in the office. Dr Gavin personally performs all of the gait analyses on his patients, and when necessary, sends them out for more comprehensive exams.
